The Shimbashi branch of Volks, which I visited this time, is located on the second floor of the building. At the top of the stairs, there is a reception machine and reception is handled here. There is an option to sit at a counter seat, and those who are dining alone or don't mind sharing a table with others are guided to the counter table which is in the middle of the restaurant and seats 10 people.
Around the counter table are smaller tables for 2 or 4 people. This is a seating arrangement often found in family restaurants. By putting these smaller tables together, groups of 6 or 8 people can easily be accommodated.
The interior of the store has a calm color scheme that combines dark brown and beige, and the brick-like design around the kitchen creates a steakhouse-like atmosphere. Perhaps because of the location and the fact that it was lunch time, the place was busy with business people.
